Hotel is very impressive. The entrance is grand and decorated beautifully. Staff are very friendly and attentive, they kindly spoke English which was very helpful. The rooms are dated, but very comfortable and clean. The pool is freezing and along with changing rooms needs an update. Breakfast was poor. We paid half board, which was very expensive and the offering at breakfast was not good quality. One annoyance is the conference centre. It felt odd that during our magical Disney trip there were hoards of “business people” crowding in the hotel entrance, blocking doorways (I repeatedly needed to ask them to move so I could pass) and smoking just outside the entrance which we had to walk past with our little one. I don’t think the magic of Disney should be combined with a business/conference centre.

Our recent stay at Disney’s Newport Bay Club was a great experience, and we’d definitely consider returning in the future. We stayed in room 4086, a family room with two double beds. While the room itself was clean and comfortable, space was definitely at a premium with four of us in it. Storage options were limited, but the coffee machine was excellent—a small but welcome luxury. That said, we weren’t here for the room; we simply needed a place to rest after long days in the parks, and for that, it served its purpose just fine. The communal areas in the hotel are lovely, capturing the charm of the nautical theme well. The Captain’s Lounge was a standout—reasonably priced for a Disney hotel bar and staffed by a team who clearly put customer service at the heart of everything they do. It was a great spot to relax in the evenings. One of the big positives of Newport Bay Club is its location. Disney Village is just an easy 8-minute walk away, and from there, it’s only another 5 minutes to the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park entrances. Being able to stroll back to the hotel at the end of a long day rather than relying on transport was a real plus. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to eat at the hotel or make use of the swimming and leisure facilities, so we can’t comment on those. However, based on our stay, Disney’s Newport Bay Club is definitely on our list for future trips. Would we stay again? Absolutely!

The hotel looks very nice, the staff is nice to you to, the check-in was quite pleasant. The room looked nice but the beds were quite hard. The bathroom was very outdated and in need of a refurbishing. The shower wasn’t able to be hung at certain angles so you almost needed to stand against the wall. It had only a few millimeters of wiggle room between scolding heat and icy cold. The paint was chipping away in the bathroom. We made a reservation at the cape cod restaurant and it looked very nice on the photos but what they didn’t mention is that the restaurant itself was under renovation, and we were put in the convention hall. And although the food was nice it wasn’t what we had expected. We could also hear the people in the room above us and we could hear the cars that were driving on the road very clearly the whole day and night. There were enough sockets to put your chargers in, the room looked quite nice but it had quite a few flaws. It’s only a 12 minute walk to the park or studio and you can also grab some food and drinks on your way to the park, if you make use of your magic hour. The hotel has plenty of parking places and enough charging poles for the electrical cars. Overall a nice hotel but there are things that need improvement.

The idea of the Newport bay is a good one however the execution lets the whole project down. The room we had may as well have been a cupboard, limited and tight power supply access, so if you have a multi plug it won't plug in, also no usb A or C. A walk of 500 miles to the room, with a maze like structure of the rooms (this is hyperbolic to illustrate how far many of the rooms are away from the lifts) The staff are very nice and doing the best they can and it is not on them how poorly designed the hotel is. As an example to get to the pool and you are on the 4th floor in a room in the west wing and in 4130s range you have to pack for a three day trip, navigate the maze, get to the second floor cross the lobby then head down to the first floor and navigate a new maze to find the pool. One positive is the pool is nice. Parking was plentiful and the outside has one of the best views across the lake to a superior hotel (the marvel hotel)

Really impressed! Felt much more “Disney” than where we have stayed previously. The rooms are very spacious (for French hotels) and the customer service was excellent. The location is an easy walk from the parks and village area. Baggage service is excellent, and the amenities for children were really useful. Would stay again Hotel is massive so expect a bit of a walk to your room from the lobby
